TOPPERS POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 1*

WELCOME TO WEEKS 1 AND 2 OF DANIEL TOPCZEWSKI’S “REGULAR” POWER RANKINGS! THESE RANKING WILL BE VERY SUBJECTIVE AND WILL COMBINE ANALYSIS FROM OVERALL TRENDS AS WELL AS RECENT PERFOMANCE. ENJOY!

1.) Vinson

2.) James

3.) Mark

4.) Mike

5.) Dan

6.) Jon

7.) Richard

8.) Ian

9.) Brooke

10.) Heller

11.) Patrick

12.) Joey

Vinson:

What can we say about the reigning Champ? Well his offense and pitching is cooking and frankly he would’ve beat any other manager 12-0 if not for mikes unreal pitching performance. Vinson is the guy to beat until proven otherwise.

James:

James’ team is remarkably solid and not one dimensional. His pitching staff and lack of power overall could lead to issues but a strong start for our favorite bully target. He’s doing what he needs to do right now which is beat the weaker teams handedly. You go girl.

Mark:

I don’t know what system Mark uses but it’s working so far. He had an easy match up and capitalized. His pitching staff will need to carry a lot of his weekly wins but with some great young arms that seems very possible, I’m not a believer in his bats necessarily but they got the job done.

Mike:

Okay, I know Mike just lost 3-9 but my god is his pitching staff good. If he wasn’t going against the top dog I’d assume he would’ve snuck another category or two away from anyone else. His offense will be feast or famine but what a strong base for Mike to continue his campaign.

Dan:

I didn’t want to be a dork and say I’m number 1 in power rankings but I had a good week. Missing Marte and Merrill hurt me but luckily didn’t cost me any categories. My pitching staff needs some work but I’m optimistic my bats will carry my team this year.

Jon:

Jon lost badly but he is missing significant talent due to injury. Can’t hold that against him. His bats look decent and his returning players should bolster his lineup. His pitching staff is a problem but not in a good way. We shall see.

Richard:

Not great, not terrible is Richard’s MO.beating Ian must give him confidence but he has a long way to go until he moves up these rankings. I don’t foresee Mike Trout carrying as hard as he did the whole season but who knows?

Ian:

Oof. Ian’s slow start on offense isn’t doing any favors but he needs to make moves quick otherwise it’ll be a long trek back to top 4. I wish him the best and with his pitching he should turn things around.

Brooke:

Brooke is only ranked this low because she has multiple players on her starting squad on the IL. I don’t know what more she could really do but that certainly isn’t helping.

Heller:

Hey Heller’s offense is alive! I have serious questions about his pitching staff but the bats should offer him a chance to be in contention.

Pat:

Pat’s team isn’t great at this current time. Lots of streaming hitters, some promising arms but overall meh. We’ll see if he can turn it around next week.

Joey:

Yeah Joey is off to a bad start. No worries next week he plays Heller so we’ll see if he can get back on track then.

Top Players of the Week:

Cole Ragans: 13.2 IP, 2 ER, 21/0 K/BB

Jackson Chourio: 8/28, 8 R, 2 HR, 8 RBI
