vinson mulvey wins first ever title

10/01/2023 — In a predictably dominant end to a dominant season, Vinson Mulvey entered the Hall of Champions with a bang this fall after thrashing Ian Shaw 10-2 in the Championship round of the LOMG playoffs. Mulvey’s team ERA of 2.75 was the lowest posted in a Championship round since 2019, and his 10-2 victory was the most lopsided total since Richard Martindell’s title triumph of 10-2 in 2013.

“Vinsons team is statistically the best collection of talent in league history. There is demonstrably no other team ever constructed that has tallied more than his team. Ever.” —Patrick Weaver

Mulvey’s turnaround of what was once a hapless franchise three seasons prior to a title toting juggernaut has scarcely been seen in the 14 year history of the League. 18 in a Row carries a league leading 4 players ranked top 13 in ESPN’s player rater, three of which are in the top 6. The run of dominance seems to only be getting started as team MVP Corbin Carroll projects to be a 24th round keeper in 2024. Mulvey’s career winning percentage now stands at .574, which is tied for the best number in League History.

When asked if Mulvey would be parading the Championship belt in front of runner-up Ian Shaw he had this to say:

“Ian will not be allowed in the same room as the belt while it’s under my protection”

Protection being the operative word. Mulvey’s title defense begins on March 28th, 2024.
